I uploaded two smilies the other day to our board one being "thumbsup" and the other is "bonk", since then one member posted a picture of 2 beetles and put a comment asking for identification of the beetles as someone said they thought they were called bonking beetles. When he checked the comments it came up where the bonking was inserted as the location of the gif smilie http://files.homepagemodules.de/b540616/a_6_4488b45c.gif.

Just wondered if this is a bug or a problem with the uploaded smilie.

Oh, I see...

all Forum Code (and Smileys, for that matter) are nothin but simple replacements.

To make sure you don't "replace" words that are used in a regular content, you should include some kind off delimiter in your forum codes. we chose "[" and "]" als delimiters, but you''re free to use whatever you wish.

So, instead of adding the smiley bonk, you should add a smiley named [bonk], <bonk> or even %bonk%.

I hope that clears up things a bit.
